Terms of Service

Last revised 7 September 2026 · Please read this before you pay.

1Provider and Seller

LETHE AUDIO (the “service”) is operated by the business below.

  • Operator · 레테오디오(LETHE AUDIO) / SEONG JEONG HWAN
  • Business registration no. · 729-75-00545
  • Address · 울산광역시 남구 대학로 84-1, 2층 215-1호
  • Phone · 070-8027-4438
  • Contact · support@letheaudio.com
  • Hosting provider · Vercel Inc.
Payment is handled by Paddle.com Market Ltd. as the Merchant of Record, and the Paddle Buyer Terms also apply to your purchase. Your card statement may show LETHEAUDIO or the payment company’s name (for example PADDLE.NET* LETHEAUDIO) instead of the service name. Receipts (invoices) and refunds are also handled through that company. A Korean electronic tax invoice (세금계산서) is not issued.

2What the Service Provides

The service offers the following audio processing tools.

  • DECANT — separates noise out of the audio you upload and returns two stems (the cleaned source and the removed component).
  • Vocal / Instrumental Split — splits an uploaded track into two stems, vocals and instrumental.
  • DE-REVERB — separates the reverb out of a vocal source and returns two stems (Dry and Wet). The model is tuned for speech and vocals; quality on other sources is not guaranteed.
  • LethePlayer — a spectrogram player. Viewing your own job results is free; playing your own files requires a time-based pass.

Processing parameters are fixed apart from the options each tool offers — the noise removal strength in DECANT, and so on.

The credits a single job costs differ per tool and scale with length; they are shown on each tool’s screen and on the credits page. Audio input is limited to 5 minutes, 32-bit or below, mono or stereo.

DECANT offers two processing models for different source types, and you choose one before uploading. Drums are not supported — separation quality is low in both models. The service does not guarantee separation quality for any particular source.

3Accounts

You must be 14 or older to use the service. Accounts sign in with a Google account, and managing that Google account is your responsibility.

Buying credits requires you to be 19 or older, or to have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. A payment made by a minor without that consent may be cancelled by the minor or the guardian.

If you lose access to your Google account and can no longer sign in, write to support@letheaudio.com with the email address you paid with and the transaction number from your receipt. After verifying your identity we will refund the remaining credits or move them to another account.

To delete your account, write to support@letheaudio.com. We will delete the account and its associated data and refund any remaining purchased credits regardless of when they were bought (excluding credits obtained improperly under Section 8). Payment and refund records we are required by law to keep under Section 7 are excluded from deletion.

4Credits and Payment

One credit costs $0.01, and the smallest purchase is 500 credits. Purchased credits do not expire.

Credits are deducted at the moment processing starts. Selecting a file, or having an upload in progress, does not deduct anything.

Prices shown include VAT and similar taxes. The tax rate is determined by Paddle.com Market Ltd. at checkout according to your country of residence; the tax breakdown and the final amount are shown on the payment screen.

Prices are shown in US dollars (USD). If you pay in another currency, the amount charged may differ from the amount shown, depending on the exchange rate at the time of payment and any foreign transaction fee your card issuer applies.

Every purchase is one-time. There is no subscription and no auto-renewal, so there is nothing to cancel.

5Withdrawal and Refunds

a. Unused credits

Within 14 days of purchase, any credits you have not spent are refunded in full, no reason required (withdrawal). Write to support@letheaudio.com, use the request card on the refund policy page, or use the link in the receipt email Paddle.com Market Ltd. sent you at checkout.

Withdrawal requests need no approval; the refund is paid within 3 business days of the request.

Where you have bought more than once, the credits you bought first are treated as spent first. If you spent credits we granted free of charge (as compensation, for review purposes and the like), that amount is treated as spent from your purchased credits and reduces the refundable amount. Credits granted free of charge are not themselves refundable.

b. Credits you have spent

Spending credits to start a job begins performance of the service immediately. By ticking the consent box before uploading (or before starting a check), you agree to immediate performance and waive your right of withdrawal for that job. Once a result has been produced, it is not refundable unless (c) below applies.

A time-based pass (LethePlayer) starts the moment it is bought, and we do not refund the unused part of it.

c. Automatic refunds

If processing fails, or the file is found to be in an unsupported format, the credits are refunded automatically. You do not need to ask.

d. If the result is defective

If a result has an obvious defect — silence, severe distortion, output unrelated to the source — contact us within 14 days of processing. We will check the archived copy and refund you. Once the defect is confirmed, the refund is paid within 3 business days of that day.

e. When we cannot refund

  • Uploading a source the tool does not support. DECANT — Drums are not supported — separation quality is low in both models. DE-REVERB — this is for speech and vocals only; results are not guaranteed for sources mixed with backing, or for full mixes. Each limit is shown on that tool’s upload screen.
  • Jobs more than 14 days old. The verification copy has been deleted, so the result can no longer be checked.
  • Requests where the result has no defect and simply did not meet expectations.
  • Results deleted because they were not downloaded within 24 hours. The processing itself completed normally.

f. How refunds are paid

Refunds are issued through Paddle.com Market Ltd., our payment provider, back to the payment method you originally used. We do not pay refunds to a different account or by a different method.

Refunds are paid within the time limits set out above. Your card issuer or bank may take further time to show it on your statement, depending on the payment method.

If you dispute a charge, please write to support@letheaudio.com before raising a chargeback with your card issuer. Most problems are resolved far faster that way, and once a chargeback is opened, refunds under this policy are paused until the card issuer’s process has finished.

Regardless of the above, where the consumer protection law of your country of residence grants you stronger rights, that law prevails.

6Rights in Your Uploads and Results

The rights in, and responsibility for, the audio you upload are yours. We are not liable for problems arising from uploading someone else’s work without permission.

The rights in the processed result are entirely yours. We claim no rights in results and place no restriction on commercial use.

Uploaded files and results are not used to train AI models, and are not given to or published for third parties. They are used for nothing beyond processing and the retention described in Section 7. The one exception is where processing itself requires the audio to be sent to a processor named in the Privacy Policy, and that transfer is for processing only.

7Data Retention and Deletion

Results are kept for 24 hours after processing finishes, then deleted automatically and cannot be recovered. Please download them within that window.

For enquiries and refund review we separately keep the file you uploaded and a low-quality copy of the result (192 kbps MP3) for 14 days. That copy is used only to check the content when a refund is requested, and is deleted automatically after 14 days.

Under Article 6 of the Korean Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, transaction records such as payments and refunds are kept for 5 years. They remain for that period even if you delete your account, and are deleted once it ends.

For details on how personal data is collected, used and stored, please see the Privacy Policy.

8Prohibited Conduct

The following are prohibited, and we may restrict an account where they are confirmed.

  • Uploading someone else’s work without permission.
  • Uploading content that breaks the law or infringes someone’s rights.
  • Reverse engineering the service, sending bulk requests through automated tools, or accessing it by circumvention.
  • Falsifying payment information or obtaining credits by improper means.
  • Abusing the refund policy — for example repeatedly buying and requesting refunds without good reason.

Where an account is restricted for a violation, remaining credits are refunded except for any obtained improperly.

Reporting infringement. If you hold rights in a work or a voice and believe it has been uploaded without permission, write to support@letheaudio.com with (1) identification of the work, (2) evidence that you are the rights holder or are authorised to act for them, (3) your contact details, and (4) a statement, made under penalty of perjury where applicable, that the information is accurate and the use is not authorised. This also serves as the notice procedure under 17 U.S.C. § 512. After verification we will remove the file and its results without delay and notify the user who uploaded it.

9Availability and Limitation of Liability

The service runs on third-party cloud infrastructure and may be interrupted by maintenance, faults, or circumstances at the infrastructure provider. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Where credits were charged for a job that failed, they are refunded automatically. Beyond that, our liability arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you actually paid over the last 28 days. This limit does not apply in cases of wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

We are not liable for loss arising because you did not download your results, or because you did not keep your own copy of the file you uploaded.

10Changes to and Ending of the Service

Processing algorithms, prices and retention periods may change. The value of credits you have already bought is not reduced by such a change.

If we end the service we will give at least 30 days’ notice on the site and refund any remaining credits in full.

11Changes to These Terms

When these terms change, we notify you by updating the “last revised” date and the revision history on this page. Changes that are unfavourable to users are posted at least 7 days before they take effect. If you do not agree to a change, you may stop using the service and request a refund of your remaining credits.

12Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Korea. If you are a consumer, this does not limit the protection you are entitled to under the mandatory rules of your country of residence.

These terms were written in Korean. Where a translation into another language is provided and there is a disagreement over interpretation, the Korean text prevails.

If a dispute arises, please write to support@letheaudio.com first. Most problems can be settled by talking them through.

Consumers resident in the Republic of Korea may, before going to court, apply for mediation to the Korea Consumer Agency (1372, kca.go.kr), the Electronic Documents and Transactions Dispute Mediation Committee (ecmc.or.kr) or the Content Dispute Resolution Committee (kcdrc.kr).

Jurisdiction over lawsuits concerning these terms follows the Korean Civil Procedure Act. Where you are a consumer, the district court for your address at the time of filing has jurisdiction; where your address is unknown or in similar cases, the jurisdiction rules of that Act apply.
